Our tutors and staff in Hudson consist of passionate educators who love inspiring children to succeed. Warm, caring and great at relating to kids, our tutors in Hudson know how to engage and motivate each child in a personal way—building confidence and smiles, as well as skills and better scores. We selectively choose tutors who know local curriculum and can link Sylvan lessons to what’s being taught in school.

Kayann Bock
Executive Director/Owner
Kayann has been with Sylvan Learning of Eau Claire, WI since 1999 and holds a bachelor of science degree in Elementary and Middle School Education from Winona State University. Kayann began teaching middle school and then decided to make a full-time career within Sylvan Learning. She loves Sylvan mostly because of the confidence and knowledge instilled in students, and for the personal relationships, she develops with families. Kayann is happily married to her husband Corey and is the proud mother of Tristan and Makenna; as a family, they love to travel, hike, and go boating.
Sarah Taylor
Center Director/Regional Education Director
Sarah graduated from the University of Wisconsin – Eau Claire with a comprehensive degree in Elementary and Special Education (Learning Disabilities). She also holds a graduate certificate in Intellectual Disabilities from Mankato State University. She began her full-time career in Minnesota as an elementary special education teacher and was promoted to coordinate the special education department. Sarah moved back to Wisconsin to teach before transitioning to Sylvan. She is excited to partner with schools to support students in our community and the surrounding communities, as well as lead our Hudson Center. When Sarah isn’t at Sylvan, you’ll find her spending time outside, reading, visiting friends and family, traveling, and figuring out mom life with her new baby!
Beth Tiedemann
Teacher
Beth brings 10 years of classroom experience to Sylvan. She has a degree in English and Special Education from Northern Michigan University and has taught a large variety of subjects. She has a special expertise in executive function skills. Her favorite thing about teaching is the look a child gets when they understand a challenging concept or master a new skill. Some of Beth’s favorite things are reading, knitting, and animals! We are elated to have this study skills expert on our team!
Jade Carey
Teacher
Jade graduated from the University of Minnesota – Duluth with a degree in Elementary Education and Special Education. Before coming to Sylvan, she was a first grade teacher for 7 years. Jade loves helping students to learn and reach their full potential. When not at Sylvan, you will find her enjoying being a mom to her two children, going on walks with her family, reading, cooking and gardening. Jade is a fantastic teacher of all subjects.
Diane Munson
Teacher
Diane has a Master’s degree in Teaching and Learning from Saint Mary’s Univeristy. Prior to working at Sylvan, she was a classsroom teacher in Minnesota for over 25 years. Diane comes to us with a wealth of experience in teaching reading, math, writing, homework support, and more. Diane was even a semifinalist for Teacher of the Year in 2015. We are very fortunate to have her at Sylvan! For Diane, the best parts of teaching are engaging and motivating each child while building their confidence and an eagerness to learn. When she is not at Sylvan, Diane enjoys trying new restaurants, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.
Sophia Vogel
Teacher
Sophia is a teacher with a gift of working with kids. She is currently pursuing a degree in Broadfield Social Studies Education at the University of Wisconsin – River Falls. Sophia’s favorite thing about working at Sylvan is the way the students make her smile each day. She is always inspired by their kindness and perseverance. When Sophia isn’t at Sylvan, you can find her reading, running, skiing, taking care of her many houseplants, and watching documentaries. Sophia is a Jill of all trades, and teaches many subjects for us at Sylvan.
Jane Coleman
Teacher
Jane has spent nearly 30 years dedicated to education in community and collegiate settings. She graduated from the University of Wisconsin – Oshkosh with a bachelors in nursing and earned her masters at South Dakota State University. As a public health nurse, she made independent home visits to new parents and was also a school nurse. Later, Jane became a nurse educator, concentrating on health promotion. The Sylvan philosophy appeals to her because she has witnessed first hand how a student’s confidence is enhanced when effective personalized methods of academic instruction is implemented. Jane loves to read, play the piano as well as spend time with her family and friends.
Vincent Larson
Teacher
Vince graduated from the University of Minnesota with a degree in Business Marketing and Education. He is currently pursuing an English/Literature degree and comes to us with a wealth of knowledge in literature! Vince also has experience working with students with a variety of disabilities in the educational setting. His passion for education led him to Sylvan, where he teaches many subjects. In his spare time, Vince enjoys sports, reading, movies/TV, and spending time with friends and family.
Tate Meierotto
Teacher
Tate attended the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire and obtained a degree in Special Education with an emphasis in Specific Learning Disabilities and Intellectual Disabilities. Has has worked with students of all ages and abilities, and comes to us with a vast amount of knowledge in teaching students who have unique programs. Tate has spent some time substitute teaching in the Hudson school district and has experience as a paraprofessional. Tate also has a special tie to Sylvan because he was enrolled in programs here growing up! As a teacher, he enjoys witnessing student’s make progress over the course of a week, a month, and beyond. He is a hockey player, enjoys Premier League soccer, traveling, and fixing/restoring different things.
Corey Eugene
District Manager
Corey has been with Sylvan since 2006 and oversees our center’s management, community outreach, and our overall quality. Corey is a great leader, mentor, and coach; and he ensures that we remain parents’ number 1 tutoring service!
