Matthew
Franchisee
Director
Matthew is dedicated to providing families with a high-quality educational experience. A former classroom math teacher with more than a decade of experience, and a Sylvan teacher since 2009, Matthew chose a career with Sylvan because it’s personalized learning – the way learning should be. At Sylvan, he’s part of a team that listens to families, gets results, inspires confidence, and makes a difference. Matthew earned his BA in Secondary Mathematics Education from Concordia University Wisconsin in 2003 and his Master’s in Advanced Classroom Instruction 2010. When he isn’t at Sylvan, you’ll find him wasting too much time playing games on his phone, staying fit, camping, or working even though he’s not in the center.

Tom is a successful educator with many years of experience helping to create successful students that become successful adults. Tom led the First Stage Theatre Academy’s University Lake School campus for several years before taking on a full-time role in the theatre department at Alverno College. Outside of Sylvan you can sometimes catch Tom acting in TV and films, and during the hockey season, he appears as Petey the Pirate for the Milwaukee Admirals.
