Meet Our Team

Rose

Executive Director

As the Executive Director/Owner, Rose leads the community outreach and operations of Sylvan Learning. She is an energetic and talented educator with over 20 years of experience with Sylvan Learning. Rose’s dynamic leadership and impact in the educational community are matched only by her ability to help students identify and reach their full potential. She is also well-versed in tutoring all Sylvan subjects, including Math, Reading, Writing, Study Skills, ACT Prep and Homework. When she’s not helping students, she loves being with her wonderful family, camping, karaoke, and anything “Elvis.”

Karina Bullard

Director of Education

Karina oversees the educational integrity of our programs, managing and training our team of tutors in Layton. A former Customer Service Manager in Georgia, Karina brings a wealth of knowledge to Sylvan of Layton. She graduated from Georgia Military College- Distance Learning Program. When Karina isn’t at Sylvan, you’ll find her reading a book, if she is not next to a book, she is spending time with her 2 dogs and her husband Adam.

Madison

Lead Teacher

Madison believes that almost all the problems in the world could be solved with successful education. She has had years of experience working with K-6th grade students in a variety of subjects. Madison graduated with a Bachelors in Elementary Education. She enjoys music, puzzles, and all things Disney.

Morgan

Teacher

Morgan loves being apart of the learning process with her students. She loves playing a role in her student’s success. Morgan has a Bachelors in Elementary Education and has previous experience working as a 6th grade teacher. Morgan enjoys reading and spending time outdoors with her family.

Kailey

Teacher

Kailey has a passion for teaching and helping her students find understanding. Kailey has completed coursework for Math Education at BYU-I and has had years of experience working with K-12 students. She loves helping others to learn and come to know that they can do anything!

Angelie

Teacher

Angelie joins us here at Sylvan with a Bachelor’s degree of Science in Biology and a minor in Chemistry. Angelie finds it very rewarding to help her students gain understanding and confidence. In her free time, she loves to go rock climbing and take pictures with vintage cameras!

Brooke

Teacher

Brooke believes that we need more teachers who are there for the kids. She loves being there for her students and helping them to reach their academic goals! When Brooke isn’t working with her students she loves to read and crochet.

Sarah

Teacher

Sarah believes that education plays a vital role in providing students with a successful future. She loves learning and enjoys being apart of the learning process with her own students. Sarah enjoys to ballroom dance as well as swing dance!

Abby

Teacher

Abby loves to learn and she has always had a desire to help others learn as well. Being apart of her student’s growth is very rewarding for Abby. She joins Sylvan with a Bachelors in Special Education and a minor in Chemistry. Abby loves to work on jigsaw puzzles and reading a good thriller book!

Amanda

Teacher

Amanda believes that all students should have the opportunity to learn in an environment that serves them best. Amanda has received a Bachelors in Applied Mathematics with a minor in Computer Science. In her spare time, she enjoys anything to do with the arts specifically visual arts, sewing, and music.

Hayley

Teacher

Hayley has a passion for mathematics and helping others understand the subject.  She comes to Sylvan with a degree from American River College and BYU-I.  There is nothing more satisfying to her than helping a student understand concepts because of something she said.  In her spare time you will catch her singing, dancing, and playing the piano!

Chandra

Teacher

Chandra joins Sylvan with a Masters in Special Education. She has over 10 years of experience working with K-8 students! In her spare time, Chandra enjoys spending time with family and doing random arts & crafts.

Donna

Teacher

Donna enjoys helping strengthen students’ weaknesses and reinforce their strengths as she tutors at Sylvan Learning in Layton. She has a BIS in Physics, Math, and Archeology. She enjoys math, astronomy, sci-fi movies & books and reading.

Kate has always enjoyed working with children. Kate is currently studying to receive her Bachelors in Early Childhood Education. She enjoys drawing, coloring, and playing with her dogs!

Kammy believes that working with others towards their educational and learning goals is one of the most rewarding journeys to be apart of. She loves to inspire her students towards academic success. In her free time, Kammy loves to read, hike, and play tennis.
