Our tutors and staff in Aledo-Weatherford consist of passionate educators who love inspiring children to succeed. Warm, caring and great at relating to kids, our tutors in Aledo-Weatherford know how to engage and motivate each child in a personal way—building confidence and smiles, as well as skills and better scores. We selectively choose tutors who know local curriculum and can link Sylvan lessons to what’s being taught in school.

Lana Hebrard
Center Director
As Center Director, Lana leads our team at Sylvan of Aledo-Weatherford. She manages new enrollments, community outreach, and the training of our teachers and staff. A graduate of Georgia Southern University, Lana chose a career in education because she wanted to work in a meaningful and purposeful environment and to help students and families achieve their academic goals. Her favorite part of Sylvan is seeing the confidence our students gain. When Lana isn’t at Sylvan, you’ll find her riding bikes with her husband, doing yoga, soaking up the sun, and hanging with her two dogs and three cats.
Rebecca Ackmann
Regional Director
As part of our Regional Director team, Rebecca supports our center teams and works with families to achieve their academic goals with Sylvan. A former teacher, Rebecca chose a career in the tutoring business because she strives to see students reach their individual potential. She studied at Northern Illinois University. When Rebecca isn’t at Sylvan, you’ll find her watching movies and spending time with her family.
Rachel Franklin
Executive Director
As Executive Director, Rachel oversees operations at our Bedford, West Richardson, Rockwall-Heath and Aledo-Weatherford locations. She works closely with center directors and directors of education in their ongoing training and development, focusing on center growth, academic success and customer service. A graduate of Rice University, Rachel has worked with Sylvan Learning for over twelve years. She loves seeing students grow to achieve their highest potential. When not at Sylvan, Rachel enjoys gardening, reading, and spending time with family.
Katie Schonhoff
Teacher
Katie is a teacher at Sylvan of Aledo-Weatherford with a gift for working with kids. Katie studied at Evangel University, where she earned a degree in Elementary Education. She loves helping students learn, and enjoys the “light bulb” moment when students grasp a new concept. When Katie isn’t at Sylvan, you’ll find her spending time with family and traveling.
Bonnie Govlik
Teacher
Bonnie is a teacher and center assistant at Sylvan Learning of Aledo-Weatherford. While Bonnie has many tutoring talents, she finds the greatest joy in reading tutoring. A former teacher, Bonnie studied Education with an Early Childhood Education specialization at Texas Wesleyan University. She loves working with students, especially the “lightbulb” moments when a lesson clicks! When she isn’t at Sylvan, you’ll find Bonnie reading or camping.
Heather Smith
Teacher
Heather is one of our awesome teachers at Sylvan of Aledo-Weatherford, with a true passion for learning. While she has many tutoring talents, she finds the greatest joy in teaching reading, math and writing. Heather studied at Stephen F. Austin University, where she earned her BS in Elementary Education. She also holds a Masters degree in Reading from Sam Houston State University, and a Masters in Special Education from the University of Texas – Tyler. In addition to working with us at Sylvan, Heather is a diagnostician for Arlington ISD. When she’s not working with students, you’ll find Heather reading, baking, and watching movies.
