Meet Our Team

As Center Director, Ms. D leads curriculum implementation, marketing, and parent communication for Sylvan of Rowlett. A former teacher and curriculum developer, Ms. D chose a career in the tutoring business because she believes learning should be personal and wants to help students achieve their highest potential. She studied at TCU and received her degree in Education and spent 4 years teaching and working with her districts’ curriculum development team before coming here. She has now been at Sylvan for over 2 years. When Ms. D isn’t at Sylvan, you’ll find her either at the gym or trying out new recipes for sweet treats!

Bambi is one of our elementary Math and Reading teachers here at Sylvan of Rowlett. She has taught for 6 years in elementary public, 3 years in private, as well as 22 years homeschooling her own children.  She loves southern home cooking and the color pink.  When she is not at Sylvan, she loves to spend time with her family and visiting Disney World!

Her Motto: Every accomplishment starts with the decision to try, so don’t be afraid to fail.  Be afraid not to try!

Kaci is our Reading instructor here at Sylvan Learning.  She has taught for 25 years in education in both the private and public sector with dyslexia and has her special education certification.   She loves reading, the color red, and eating chips and salsa.  When she is not at Sylvan, she loves spending time with her family!

Her Motto: Teachers who love teaching teach children to love learning.

DJ is our Mathematics instructor here at Sylvan of Rowlett.  She was a math tutor for 10 years before teaching in the middle school math classroom.  She is obsessed with math and loves popcorn.  When she is not at Sylvan, she likes to solve logic puzzles, read sci-fi fantasy, and play games with her family.
