Ms. Sarah Hussain

Director

Ms. Sarah earned her B.A. and teaching certificate from the University of Texas at Dallas and her M.S. from Southern Methodist University. She has worked in education and counseling in the North Dallas area for years. After moving to the Houston area, she pivoted to tutoring so she could give each student her full attention. Ms. Sarah believes that with the proper support all students can reach their academic goals with confidence.

Ms. Sarah lives in Katy with her family. She enjoys finding new brunch/coffee shops, reading, playing games, and spending quality time with friends and family, especially exploring the world with her toddler son.

Ms. Sonia Schneider is a proud Texan from Pennsylvania — She got here as soon as she could. She has recently retired after teaching for 26 years. During her career, she taught all grades in elementary school. Ms. Sonia loves to teach students of all grades.
Sonia got her teaching degree from Penn State and has a master’s degree from University of Texas at Arlington.

When not working with students, she loves to read and hang out with her cats and dog.

Ms. Amber Stady

Certified Sylvan Teacher

Ms. Amber Stady graduated from Sam Houston State University with a Bachelor of Science in Academic Studies in 2003. She has 20 years experience in education — 9 years working with students with special needs, 1 year as a 3rd grade Math teacher, 8 years as an English as a Second Language (ESL) Coordinator and about the last 2 years teaching in the Homebound setting.

Ms. Stady has a passion for making a positive difference in the lives of the students she teaches. In her free time she enjoys doing puzzles that are over 1,000 pieces and enjoys spending time with her family.

Ms. Ashley Hutchison

Certified Sylvan Teacher

With over twelve years of experience in elementary education, Ashley Hutchison is a dedicated and passionate educator who specializes in supporting students with diverse learning needs. Ashley has made a profound impact in the classroom as a certified special education teacher, earning the esteemed “Teacher of the Year” award at two different schools during her career.

Ms. Ashley holds a master’s degree in educational leadership from Lamar University. She is committed to fostering an inclusive learning environment where every student can thrive. She firmly believes that all students can learn and grow when provided with the right tools and tailored support. Her expertise in differentiating instruction allows her to meet each student’s unique needs, ensuring that they grasp the material and develop a love for learning. While she enjoys teaching all content areas, she has a particular passion for working with struggling readers, helping them develop confidence, and a love for literacy.

Ms. Ashley was born and raised in Houston but now she lives with her family in Katy. Ashley enjoys reading and cherishing moments with her family in her free time.

Ms. Erma is a graduate of Alcorn State University with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science. She spent 20 years in the information technology field before answering the call to teach—a second career that has become her true vocation. Certified through LeTourneau University – Longview and ESL-endorsed while serving in a local school district, Ms. Erma has spent the past 12 years inspiring students across grade levels in a variety of subjects.

In addition to classroom teaching, Ms. Erma has experience with homeschooling and tutoring high school students, offering personalized support that builds both academic skills and self-confidence. Ms. Erma views teaching as a calling and is deeply committed to helping each student reach their full potential. Her warm, encouraging approach fosters a love of learning and empowers students to thrive.

Ms. Erma enjoys spending time with family and friends, reading, solving jigsaw puzzles, and traveling.

Ms. Fatima Mussa

Sylvan Teacher

Ms. Fatima graduated from the University of Central Florida with a BS in Medical Laboratory Sciences. However, she is very passionate about Education. So, she decided to obtain Teaching Certification. She plan to teach Math and Sciences to Middle School students.

Ms. Fatima always wanted to be an educator to make a difference in the life of her students. She feels fulfilled when students fully comprehend the material being taught and experience the lightbulb momenst!

Ms. Judith Lobo

Sylvan Math Teacher

Ms. Judith Lobo has a Masters in Engineering from Texas A&M and an MBA professional degree. She has 15+ years of diversified engineering and business experience. She has been working as a substitute teacher for Katy ISD for the last 8 years. Ms. Judith has been active in after-school tutoring for the last 3 years here at Sylvan.

Ms. Judith is a very religious person and values spending time with loved ones. As a devoted mother, she understands the importance of a child’s academic success and self-confidence which positively impacts all aspects of their lives.

Ms. Margaret Reagan

Certified Sylvan Teacher

Ms. Margaret Reagan has almost 27 years of teaching experience. She had taught different grades K-8 and currently employed by Lamar CISD as PT Reading tutor.

During her free time, Ms. Margaret enjoys spending time with her husband, two daughters and their dogs!

Ms. Tanja Chenault

Certified Sylvan Teacher

Ms. Tanja Chenault has over 30 years of teaching expertise. She graduated from Texas Tech with a B.S. in Education and the University of New Orleans with a MS in Education.
Ms. Tanja loves tutoring at Sylvan where the students use individualized learning programs to gain skills where they have gaps.

Her goal is to help students succeed and feel good about their progress. She has a lot of experience in working with students with special needs and loves to see them improve.
In her free time she likes to spend time with her grandchildren and relaxes by playing games on her computer.
