Our tutors and staff in Niles consist of passionate educators who love inspiring children to succeed. Warm, caring and great at relating to kids, our tutors in Niles know how to engage and motivate each child in a personal way—building confidence and smiles, as well as skills and better scores. We selectively choose tutors who know local curriculum and can link Sylvan lessons to what’s being taught in school.

Josh
Center Director
Josh oversees the educational integrity of all programs at Sylvan of Niles. Josh works full time in the center teaching, testing students, and meeting with families. Josh likes to get to know the students in order to have a better understanding of how they learn best. He graduated from Youngstown State with a B.S. in Education. When Josh isn’t at Sylvan, you will find him enjoying music, friends, family, and traveling.
Terri
Teacher
Terri is a 20-year veteran teacher at the Niles Sylvan Learning Center who has many tutoring talents. She finds the greatest joy in teaching reading, English, and college prep! When not at Sylvan, you can find her spending time with friends and family.
Lisa
Teacher
Lisa is a retired English teacher who teaches students of all ages at the Sylvan Learning Center in Niles. She loves teaching because she believes that there are two things you can do to change lives: become a parent and a teacher, and she’s been fortunate enough to do both in her lifetime. When she isn’t teaching, she enjoys traveling, reading, subbing, shopping for antiques and working out.
Jennifer
Teacher
Jennifer also teaches at the Niles Sylvan Learning Center. She loves working with our math students and young beginning readers. Her favorite part of teaching is the moment when the lightbulb turns on and the student understands. When she is not teaching, she loves playing with her cute little dog Cricket.
