AJ Lisi

Center Director

Director

As Center Director, AJ leads community outreach and operations for Sylvan of Findlay.
A former Sales Manager in the Grocery business, AJ chose a career in the tutoring business because he wanted to make a difference in children’s lives. He studied at the University of Northwestern Ohio. When AJ isn’t at Sylvan, you’ll find him running around to all of his 3 kids’ sporting events.

Kadie Wood

Director of Education

Director

As Director of Education, Kadie oversees the educational integrity of our programs and manages and trains our team of tutors in Findlay and Tiffin. She also manages the students of our center and directly facilitates the learning process.

She graduated from Capital University with a B.A. in Education and received her Masters degree in English Education from Jones International University. As a former Elementary and Middle School teacher in Columbus, Kadie is a licensed educator and brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to Sylvan of Findlay. When she isn’t at the center, you can find her reading, traveling and spending time with her husband Brad and her dog Joe.

Tanner Alsept

Tutor

Tanner is pursuing his B.A. in Education at Tiffin University. He has invested numerous hours in volunteer work with special education programs at various High Schools around the area. In his off time, Tanner competes in wrestling and enjoys spending time with his loved ones.

Suzanne Crouch

Tutor

Suzanne is a committed and passionate educator here in Findlay OH.  Friendly and kind, Suzanne has a great ability to relate to kids and keep them motivated and engaged. She earned her masters of education degree at the University of Findlay and has extensive experience instructing students. When Suzanne isn’t at Sylvan, you’ll find her spending time with her husband and her two sons as well as baking her family’s favorite treats.

Allisha Bonner

Tutor

Another tutor at our center is Allisha Bonner. Allisha received an undergraduate degree at BGSU, then earned her Master’s Degree in Administration from the American College of Education. She went on and received a Certificate in Autism from ASU. Allisha is a licensed Intervention Specialist as well. At this time, she is working in an ID Unit at Cory Rawson. In her free time, she enjoys reading and spending time with her family.

Taylor Losh

Tutor

Taylor is an  Intervention Specialist in Delphos, OH who enjoys working with and helping kids grow. While Taylor has many tutoring talents, she finds the greatest joy in reading and math instruction. She studied at Bowling Green State University. When Taylor isn’t at Sylvan, you’ll find her spending time with her family and enjoying the lake in the summer.

Brandon Barnett

Tutor

Brandon is an instructor here at Sylvan of Findlay, with a gift for working with kids. He has many tutoring talents and finds the greatest joy in small group instruction. Brandon has been an educator for 8 years and received his Master’s in education from Toldeo University. When he’s not at Sylvan, Brandon spends his time with his dog, Lincoln. He also enjoys making art and engaging in reading and writing.

Walter Stahl

Tutor

Walter is a teacher here at Sylvan of Findlay and has extensive experience tutoring students of all ages. He has a Masters of Education from the University of Findlay and has taught a wide range of skills throughout his career including math, english, and career level abilities. He has a passion to teach and help others and has been a wonderful addition here. When he’s not at the center, Walter enjoys reading, playing sports, and hanging out with his wife and three children.

Cora Purves

Tutor

Cora obtained her B.A. in English and is currently working towards her M.A. in Literature. She specializes in writing, and reading comprehension and has a passion for helping young minds grow. When she’s not teaching or learning, she enjoys reading a good book in a scenic area and spending time at her farm with all her animals.
