Our tutors and staff in East Brunswick consist of passionate educators who love inspiring children to succeed. Warm, caring and great at relating to kids, our tutors in East Brunswick know how to engage and motivate each child in a personal way—building confidence and smiles, as well as skills and better scores. We selectively choose tutors who know local curriculum and can link Sylvan lessons to what’s being taught in school.

Nancy Velisek
Executive Director
Nancy has been the Executive Director at Sylvan Learning of East Brunswick since 1995. Prior to this, Nancy was an educator working in school districts across many states. Nancy graduated from Bradley University. She oversees the educational integrity of our programs, as well as managing and training our team of tutors. When Nancy isn’t at Sylvan, she enjoys spending time with her family.
Lindsay Velisek
Center Director
As Center Director, Lindsay has many responsibilities at Sylvan Learning of East Brunswick. She oversees the educational integrity of our programs, as well as managing our team of tutors. Lindsay graduated from Elon University and has been working as our Center Director since 2006. She also teaches our SAT Prep course. When Lindsay isn’t at Sylvan, you’ll find her spending time with her family.
