Missy Roh

Owner

Missy is a former CPA, graduating from Doane College. She chose a career in the tutoring business because it’s been a huge part of her family since 1996. She loves spending time with family, enjoying the outdoors (paddle boarding, fishing, etc.), and a good book. Marissa loves seeing the impact Sylvan has made on families and the surrounding community.

Bekah Corey

Center Director

Director

In her role as Center Director, Bekah is responsible for managing the daily activities at Sylvan of Lincoln. She meets with families, evaluates students, and manages marketing efforts. Transitioning from a preschool facilitator, Bekah pursued a career driven by her dedication to aiding children in cultivating robust study habits and fostering their ownership of educational achievements. Outside of Sylvan, she enjoys exploring local galleries and museums.

Emily Robinson

Teacher

Director

Emily serves as our Education Director, with a particular passion for supporting early readers by tailoring approaches to meet each child’s unique needs. She graduated from the University of Nebraska Lincoln with High Distinction in Education. Known for her warm and caring demeanor, Emily greets everyone with kindness. Her dedication and love for her work are evident in the remarkable progress our students make under her guidance.

Shelley Andelt

Teacher

Shelley is one of most well known teachers in the building. She has a bachelors in Elementary Education and Special Education. When you are in the center you can feel the love she has for each and every student that comes through our doors. She loves teaching our younger students about phonics and really wants to help them learn as much as possible to set them each up for success. When she is not at Sylvan she can be seen with her sweet puppy Winter and spending time with the people she loves most.

Brinley Hager

Teacher

Brinley is a tutor here at the Lincoln center. She is currently going to school to obtain a Bachelor’s Degree in Education. Although she enjoys teaching children of all ages, she finds her greatest joy in elementary mathematics. When she isn’t at Sylvan, you can find her enjoying a good book or spending time with friends.

Sam Harvat

Teacher

Sam is one of our upper Math teachers, and she’s passionate about igniting students’ interest in math and science. Her main focus is on ACT preparation and homework support, but she also has a fantastic rapport with middle schoolers. When she’s not at Sylvan, you’ll often find her spending quality time with families or catching her favorite bands at concerts.

Jeff Brandle

Teacher

Jeff is a Tutor in Lincoln, NE with a gift for working with kids. While Jeff has many tutoring talents, he finds the greatest joy in Trigonometry tutoring. Jeff specializes in upper level Math tutoring including the following classes: Algebra I, Geometry, Advanced Algebra, Pre-Calculus, Calculus and Trigonometry. He studied at Trinity University and University of Nebraska – Lincoln. When Jeff isn’t at Sylvan, you’ll find him spending time with his daughter Mia.  .

Jason Frazier

Teacher

Jason graduated with an Associates degree from SCC Milford for Automotive Technology, then decided to go back to school for a Bachelors in Organizational Communication and Leadership from Nebraska Wesleyan. Jason goal for his time at Sylvan is to help children feel comfortable about where they are at in education and help learn skills to overcome educational struggles. As he has a lot of the same. When he is not at Sylvan he enjoys spending time with his gods and running the Alien haunt at Eagle Hollow.

Shelby Clausen

Teacher

Shelby graduated with a Bachelors in Physics and a Masters in Science Education. She loves being able to work one-on-one with students to ensure their understanding of difficult material. She wants to make a difference in the education my showing them how it can help their trajectory in life. Her favorite subject is Math because she knows it is hard and she loves seeing people who are struggling find their lightbulb moments. When she is not at Sylvan you can find her going for a ride on her bike or exploring the internet with programing courses and playing Minecraft.

Jennifer Curtis

Teacher

With a focus on elementary students, Jenn brings energy and enthusiasm to every lesson. Next year, she’ll be taking her talents to Lincoln Public Schools as a 5th-grade teacher. Jenn’s vibrant personality shines through in the achievements of her students, making learning both effective and enjoyable.

Cameron Coen

Teacher

Cameron is currently pursuing a degree in Astronautical Engineering at UNL, where his passion for mathematics and numerical concepts thrives. Known for his engaging personality, Cameron creates an environment where students feel comfortable being their authentic selves. Outside of Sylvan, he enjoys leisurely bike rides with friends and catching the latest movies.
