Michelle Tynch
Executive Director
As Executive Director, Michelle leads the staff for Sylvan of Elizabeth City and surrounding areas. A former Kindergarten teacher, Michelle chose a career in the tutoring business because she wanted to make a difference with families and children on a personal level. She studied at East Carolina University. When Michelle isn’t at Sylvan, you’ll find her spending time with her husband and two daughters.
Sarah Katherine Brown
Director of Education
Sarah Katherine oversees the educational integrity of our programs and all of our STEM programs in Elizabeth City . A former middle school teacher in Currituck County, Sarah Katherine brings a wealth of knowledge to Sylvan of Elizabeth City . She graduated from the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill. When Sarah Katherine isn’t at Sylvan, you’ll find her spending time with her husband and 3 children.
