Navdeep Batra

Owner

Navdeep is the Owner and Executive Director of multiple Sylvan Learning locations in the greater St Louis area. Navdeep holds a Bachelors in Economics and Psychology and a Masters in Literature and Special Education. As a former High School Math and Special Education teacher with a passion for helping children succeed, Navdeep finds the tutoring business a great fit for her.  Navdeep also has a keen interest in reading, gardening and horseback riding .

Zor Singh

Center Director

As Center Director, Zor Singh oversees the educational integrity of our work at Sylvan of Ballwin, working as the bridge between our certified tutors working closely with our students, and between the parents raising any concerns or setting any goals for their children to rise to with our help. Having studied management of info systems at Oklahoma State University, Zor Singh discovered his love for leadership and management early through Boy Scouts and earned his Eagle rank. He then enlisted as a combat medic in the Army National Guard, serving 7 years for the 120th Engineers.

Gabby Redfield

Lead Tutor

Gabby is our Lead Tutor here at Ballwin center, with a gift for working and connecting with kids. While Gabby has many tutoring talents, she finds the greatest joy in helping students with their English and reading skills, especially the young ones. She studied at Truman State. When Gabby isn’t at Sylvan, you’ll find her  studying for her Master’s at UMSL, practicing her Japanese or exploring the arts and culture Saint Louis has to offer.

David De Seguirant

Tutor

David has been in education for the majority of his career, with his time spent primarily as a college orchestra conductor and musical theory professor. David’s wisdom and years of practice that he brings resonates with students of all ages, and he provides valuable insight into the college experience that students are preparing for. David is also an excellent ACT/SAT tutor for us, helping students meet their goals and often times surpassing it. He is also practicing woodworking and enjoys working on his projects

David is a masters holder of elementary education, he has been with Sylvan for over 3 years and his expertise in early education has played a vital role in ensuring student success and confidence. David is also keen in noticing student traits ad behaviors, and expertly brings out the best in each one. He also works as a substitute teacher, diligently putting his practice to use to provide more opportunities to students.

Anil has been working in education for over 2 years before he came onboard our Sylvan team. Working through the pandemic, Anil made sure that the complex theories and ideas in math were able to be explained in an easier way to online students. Studying as an engineer, Anil is on his way to his masters, and is more than capable of meeting students where they may be, instead of relying on them to catch up to him. An avid cricket player, Anil is a star both on and off the field.
