Our tutors and staff in Brighton consist of passionate educators who love inspiring children to succeed. Warm, caring and great at relating to kids, our tutors in Brighton know how to engage and motivate each child in a personal way—building confidence and smiles, as well as skills and better scores. We selectively choose tutors who know local curriculum and can link Sylvan lessons to what’s being taught in school.

Christine T, M.S
Center Director
As Center Director, Christine does assessments, conferences, and oversees center activities for Sylvan of Brighton. She has been with Sylvan since 2009. A former middle school and high school English teacher, Christine chose a career in the tutoring business because she loves seeing each student succeed at his or her own pace. She studied at Albion College and Walden University. She is a member of the Great Start Collaborative of Livingston County and volunteers with Recycle Livingston. When Christine isn’t at Sylvan, you’ll find her spending time with her three children and husband, reading a book, couponing, or watching a good movie.
Jessica Adams
Assistant Director of Education
Jessica graduated from Eastern Michigan University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Language Arts and Early Childhood Education. She also holds a master’s in Special Education from Oakland University. Jessica has been with Sylvan since 2016. When not at Sylvan, Jessica enjoys spending time with her husband and two daughters.
Jennie Mill
Director of Operations
Jennie oversees the educational success and integrity of our programs. Jennie’s favorite parts of working with Sylvan are guiding families through the steps of the learning process and partnering with area schools. Jennie graduated from Hope College with a degree in English/Elementary Education. When Jennie is not at Sylvan she loves to hike the trails at the Ledges in Grand Ledge or sneak in a yoga class.
Jessica Rollins, MA
Owner/Executive Director
After working in the Sylvan family for 15 years, Jessica and her husband George had the pleasure of becoming owners in March of 2017. Jessica’s favorite aspect of Sylvan is the ability to partner with community organizations and schools. She earned a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Education from CMU and a Master’s in Educational Psychology from EMU. Jessica also serves as the chair for the Dewitt Public Schools Foundation, where her children attend school. When she isn’t at Sylvan, Jessica enjoys vegetable gardening and camping.
