Our tutors and staff in Peabody/Danvers consist of passionate educators who love inspiring children to succeed. Warm, caring and great at relating to kids, our tutors in Peabody/Danvers know how to engage and motivate each child in a personal way—building confidence and smiles, as well as skills and better scores. We selectively choose tutors who know local curriculum and can link Sylvan lessons to what’s being taught in school.

Allison Wolper
Director of Education
Allison Wolper is originally from Beverly, MA. She graduated from Clark University with a bachelor’s degree in Psychology and from Salem State University with a master’s degree in Social Work. She has certifications to teach grades K-2 and 1-6. Allison’s favorite parts of working at Sylvan are: helping her students gain the confidence they need to feel successful, helping them “turn on their light bulbs” and helping to make learning fun. She has been working at Sylvan Learning Center since the fall of 2012 and has been the Director of Education since November 2021. When she can, Allison loves to travel to North Conway, NH and visit family and friends in Missouri, Florida and Arizona. She is also a very big Snoopy fan.
Rosina LeBlanc
Executive Director
As Executive Director, Rosina leads all business operations for Sylvan of Danvers and Woburn, MA, and ensures that the centers and their staff have the support and resources they need. Rosina chose a career in the tutoring business because she believes learning how to learn is the most important skill a person can obtain. She studied at Southern NH University. When Rosina isn’t at Sylvan, you’ll find her cooking, shopping, and spending time with her family and cats.
Mary Adams
Assistant Director of Education
Mary is the Assistant Director of Education in the Peabody and Woburn locations. While Mary has many tutoring talents, she finds the greatest joy in elementary school tutoring. She studied at Saint Michael’s College. When Mary isn’t at Sylvan, you’ll find her spending time with family and friends, and getting outdoors with her husband, and their dog Lucy as much as possible. She also loves spending time at home with their cats, Oliver and Lyla, curled up reading a good book or is always up for a good movie!
Julie Cloutier
Tutor
Julie has a BA in History from Merrimack College and a MA in Education from Tufts University. She has teaching experience that ranges from elementary level through adult learning. She enjoys being a Learning Skills Specialist and helping students feel successful with their studies. She has been working at Sylvan Learning of Peabody since May 2012. When she is not working, she enjoys spending time outdoors and reading.
Marie Orlando
Tutor
Marie has been a member of the Sylvan family for more than 10 years. Working with students to help them achieve that “ah-ha” moment is extremely rewarding for her. She is a graduate of Framingham State University. School days find her in Gloucester working as an interventionist, supporting students in reading and math. Marie is married to John and they own a Bed and Breakfast in Gloucester. She is also the mother of 3 and “Mimi to 3. Free time finds her enjoying the beach with her grandsons, reading, and cheering on the Patriots.
Jennifer Belanger
Tutor
Jennifer has her Master’s in Early Childhood Education and eight years of teaching experience with children ranging in age from preschool to second grade. She also has her Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services from Endicott College. Jennifer enjoys teaching reading at Sylvan to a variety of age groups. In her free time, she enjoys reading and cooking!
Molly Niemy
Tutor
Molly started working at Sylvan in February of 2017. She received her Masters in Early Childhood Education and is a licensed teacher in the state of Massachusetts . Currently, Molly is a second grade teacher for the Malden Public School district.
Wendy Renna
Tutor
Wendy is a 4th-grade teacher in Woburn, MA. Wendy has many tutoring talents, but she finds the greatest joy in math and reading tutoring. She studied at Bridgewater State College. When Wendy is not at Sylvan, you’ll find her spending time with family and friends.
Jess Brennan
Tutor
Jess is a middle school English teacher in Lynn, MA. They studied at Salem State University and have teaching experience ranging from middle school through adult education. They enjoy helping students feel successful with their studies but especially enjoy writing tutoring! When Jess isn’t at Sylvan, you’ll find them making costumes or reading a new book.
Elizabeth LaMonica
Tutor
Elizabeth has a Bachelor of Arts in History/Teach Prep from Nichols College, an Master of Education in Secondary Education form Salem State University, and a Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction/Ed Leadership from Southern New Hampshire University. She has been a History/Social Studies teacher for grades 7-12. She also enjoys coaching kids of all ages in both softball and cheerleading. When she is not working, she enjoys reading and the occasional run.
Donna Cohen
Tutor
Donna is a preschool teacher in Salem, MA. She has a Bachelor of Science degree from Syracuse University and a graduate degree from Barry University. Donna loves arts and crafts and being creative. In the fall, Donna coaches field hockey in Swampscott, MA. In her spare time, she enjoys painting, drawing, knitting, bicycling, and swimming in the ocean at sunrise.
Jessie Anderson
Tutor
Jessie graduated from the University of Maine, Orono with a Bachelor of Arts in child development and family relations. She has experience tutoring college students, adult learners, and elementary students in schools and adult learning centers. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, walking on the beach, and bike riding.
Mary Petersohn
Tutor
Mary has been working in the Georgetown Public School System since 2006 as a Tutor, Instructional Paraprofessional, and Substitute Teacher for grades K-12. She joined the Sylvan team in 2021 in addition to her current position at school. Mary enjoys motivating and engaging each student individually to succeed and build their academic confidence. She studied at the University of Wisconsin and is a graduate of the University of Alabama, majoring in Education, Art, and Communications. Mary enjoys painting, photography, and walks on the beach with her family in her free time.
Ashley Stiles
Tutor
Ashley has a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education and Liberal Arts from Emmanuel College. She has been a fifth grade teacher for several years. Ashley has been at Sylvan Learning Center of Danvers since July 2022. When she is not working, she enjoys spending time with her dogs, cooking and travelling.
Beth Karagjozi
Tutor
Beth Karagjozi has a bachelor’s degree in Math from the University of Tirana, Albania. She taught high school Mathematics in Albania for 19 years. Since 2007, she has worked as a Paraprofessional, Title 1 Math tutor, and long-term substitute Math Teacher for public high schools and middle schools. Since August 2021, Beth has worked for Salem High School as a Math Teacher.
Sarah White
Tutor
Sarah is a first-grade teacher. She has taught first grade in a few public school districts in the North Shore. Sarah has her bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education from Salem State and a master’s in Elementary Education from Merrimack College. One of Sarah’s favorite parts of teaching is helping students become more confident readers. When Sarah is not teaching, she enjoys family vacations to different places, including Disney World. She also likes to spend time with her two dogs, Winnie and Roo.
Maria Lee-McAullife
Tutor
Maria is a former elementary and middle school Science teacher with over 20 years of classroom experience. She enjoys tutoring elementary students here at Sylvan and teaching cooking classes to young chefs. She has an MEd. from Lesley College, an elementary certification grades 1-6 from Salem University, and a BA from Stonehill College. The excitement and curiosity that learning inspires is her motivation and she is most happy assisting students of all ages reach their goals. In her spare time, you may find her cooking, dancing, painting or writing poetry.
Brittany Mondi
Tutor
Brittany is a middle school English and Social Studies in Gloucester MA. She has her Bachelor’s in Secondary Education from Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and her Masters in History from Salem State. She has over ten years of teaching experience in three different districts on the Northshore. When she is not teaching or tutoring, you can find her at home baking or hanging out with her two corgis, both named for British historical figures.
