Laura Green
Admin Assistant
I began my career at Sylvan roughly two years ago as a parent volunteer while my son was enrolled as a student. I ended up liking it so much, and had developed such a meaningful connection with the kids, that I decided to start working here. When I’m away from work, you can typically find me with my husband and/or son, and our Maine Coon Cat. I am also a published indie author, so if I’m not with family, I’m usually in my writing cave.

After leaving this position, I continued to teach in Sunday School and online Bible studies while going back to college for my Spanish degree. Upon Graduation, I began teaching Spanish in the Public School system. I have been tutoring for Sylvan and teaching Spanish, reading, and Homework support since 2017.

Thomas Morales
Instructor
I began my career with Sylvan in 2020, shortly after I graduated from Berry College. A tutor and teacher’s assistant throughout his academic career, I had experience assisting students in STEM-related fields and had a strong desire to help the local community as students were struggling with the transition to online learning. I certainly found a place at Sylvan of Rome, where I can work with students studying Mathematics, SAT/ACT Prep, and general homework support. I look forward to continuing my work in the local community and helping the next generation of students excel.
