Ana McCoskey

Center Director

Director

As Center Director, Ana leads everyday operations at Sylvan of Oviedo. A former Marketing Manager for Nestle Purina, Ana chose a career in the tutoring business because she believes in the power of education. She is passionate to see kids rediscover their love for learning and raise confidence. She holds an MBA, from John Brown University. When Ana isn’t at Sylvan, you’ll find her spending time with her family and friends, doing some puzzles, or playing board games.

Jason McCoskey

Marketing, Finance, & Operations Support

As a franchise co-owner, Jason heads up Marketing, Finance, Analytics, and Operations Support. He has a dual degree in marketing and international business and comes to the arena with corporate experience in both marketing and project management. In addition to business, he absolutely loves helping kids reach their potential! Building their academic confidence and increasing their skills. When outside of Sylvan, he loves to read books for fun, spend time with family, and watch a favorite show on a streaming service!

Deborah Coleman

Education Manager

Deborah has been a teacher in the Seminole County Public Schools since 2016. She earned her Master’s degree in Elementary Education from UCF. She has taught and tutored students ranging from K-8 in both school and private settings. When Deborah is not at Sylvan, she loves to spend time with her family, working out, reading, and eating good food.

Andrea Gallman

Teacher

Ms. Gallman holds a Bachelors of Science in Elementary Education. She has 5+ years of classroom experience teaching Math, Reading, English, Science & Social Studies. She was awarded “Teacher of the Year” 20-21 in a very challenging year for education. She has experience working in special education and self-contained classrooms. She is passionate to help students feel confident and enjoy learning. She has an special ability to make others feel comfortable and try their best! When not at Sylvan, you can find her studying for her Master of Arts in Counseling, singing, or traveling.

Patti Spicuzza

Teacher

Patti is a K-12 certified teacher with more than 10 years of classroom experience in private & public schools. She has also worked as a curriculum designer for an international university, teaching teachers how to teach online. While she has many tutoring talents, she finds the most joy in sharing her love of reading through tutoring the subject with students of all ages. She graduated from Duquesne University with her Bachelors in Elementary Education and later with a Masters as a Reading Specialist. When she isn’t at Sylvan, you can find her with her family or deep in a good book.

Natalie Taff

Teacher

Natalie has been working with students for 10+ years and loves to see them grow and overcome obstacles. As a 2006 graduate from Belhaven University, she displays passion for teaching students that learning can be fun! Outside of Sylvan, you may find Natalie doing various outdoor activities, traveling with her husband, or visiting family and friends!

Hannah Vasquez

Teacher

Hannah is currently a Communication Sciences and Disorders major at UCF. After completing school, she aspires to work with kids in pediatric speech-language pathology. Hannah is passionate about making learning fun and engaging for all children. Outside of Sylvan, you can find her reading or at a local coffee shop!

Jacob Walrod

Teacher

Jacob is currently in his fourth year of studying Mechanical Engineering at the UCF. He holds a strong passion towards the field of mathematics and loves to help others gain a better understanding of the subject. When he is outside of Sylvan, Jacob likes to be outdoors and spend time with friends and family.

Victor Medina

Teacher

Victor loves to teach math of all levels, from elementary to upper-level SAT/ACT. Additionally, he is passionate about all fields STEM-related and is motivated to make education fun and approachable. He is currently studying in his 4th year of the Bio-medical Sciences program at UCF. He then will obtain his master’s while also pursuing vaccine research / artificial limb engineering. Outside of Sylvan, Victor can be found studying, traveling around Orlando trying new tasty restaurants and exciting attractions, playing volleyball, or working out.

Genevieve Holman

Teacher

Evie is majoring in Clinical Psychology at UCF and will continue her education in graduate school. She enjoys behavioral studies and researching learning disabilities. Outside of Sylvan, you may find her cuddling with her cat and reading a good fiction novel.

Abdullah Mohammed

Teacher

Abdullah is pursuing a double major in both Mathematics and Philosophy at UCF. He is passionate about teaching students and having them think outside the box. He is a highly sought after Sylvan tutor for upper level Math and SAT/ACT test prep. Outside of Sylvan, you may find him watching basketball or at a new restaurant trying out a new cuisine!

Ava Barrera

Teacher

Ava is currently pursuing her degree at UCF in Early Childhood Education and Development. She is passionate in encouraging students and helping them strive to realize their full potential. Outside of Sylvan, you may find her listening and playing music, going to a theme park, or attending a UCF football game.

Anjali Murali

Teacher

Anjali is pursuing a double major in Biomedical Sciences and Health Sciences at UCF. She is passionate about teaching students and breaking down concepts and facilitate learning in a creative way. Outside of Sylvan, you may find her curled up reading a book or baking!

Devin Brengel

Teacher

Devin is pursuing a degree in Aerospace Engineering. He is passionate about teaching and developing student skills. He primarily works with upper level math students at Sylvan. Outside of Sylvan, you may find him reading a book, playing video games, or spending time with his family. He also loves to travel and spend time outdoors.
