Center Director

Evelyn Ulloa is an experienced executive director with a background in marketing and communications. Her true passion lies in helping students achieve their academic goals and personal growth. She saw the opportunity to make a real impact on young lives. She now leads as the Director of the Sylvan Learning Center in North Miami/Aventura, where she is dedicated to creating a nurturing environment for students to thrive. Evelyn believes in the power of personalized learning plans and individual attention. She knows that academic success isn’t just about teaching facts but also about building confidence and a love for learning. Evelyn stays updated with the latest educational trends to ensure the Sylvan Learning Center remains innovative and effective. Her career is driven by a deep belief in the life-changing potential of education, making her a standout leader in the field.

Hayden Korr

Center Administrator

Hayden Korr is a recent graduate of the English Education program at University of South Florida in Tampa. She has been passionate about education since she was a child. She believes in a connections first approach to teaching- if the students have a strong bond with their teacher, there is nothing they can’t achieve in the classroom. She is mainly interested in upper high school level English Language Arts, and her favorite book to teach is Frankenstein by Mary Shelley.

Juan Nuñez

Lead Tutor - Math & Reading

My name is Juan Nuñez and I am a tutor at the Sylvan Learning Center of North Miami/Aventura teaching Math, Reading, and Writing. I graduated from Florida International University with a Bachelor of Science in Mathematical Sciences. I am a fan of all things math and I enjoy guiding students through these concepts with examples to ultimately help with their self-confidence and their academic development.”

Kenny Noel

Meet Kenny, our seasoned educator with over 8 years of experience in teaching Math, Science, and Social Studies in Florida. Since joining Sylvan in 2020, Kenny has demonstrated an exemplary commitment to addressing specific student needs. A graduate of Barry University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Science in Pre-Medical Biology, Kenny is certified in Biology 6-12, English for speakers of other languages, and Elementary Education K-6.His passion for education is evident in his dynamic teaching style, fostering an environment where students not only grasp challenging concepts but also develop a genuine love for learning.

Melanie Norris

Tutor - Reading & Writing

Melanie Norris is a dedicated tutor located in Aventura, FL, known for her exceptional ability to connect with and inspire children. She possesses a wide range of tutoring skills, but her true passion lies in the realms of reading and writing education. Melanie also contributes to the Miami County School system as a History teacher, where she imparts her knowledge and passion for the subject to her students.
Melanie’s commitment to education and her enthusiasm for helping children reach their full potential make her a valuable asset to her students and the community.

Omar Rodriguez

Tutor - Math, Reading & Writing

Omar Rodriguez is a Math and reading tutor at Sylvan Learning in Aventura, FL with a gift for working with students from K to 12th grade. While Omar has many tutoring talents, he finds the greatest joy in Math tutoring. He studied Economics at Andrés Bello Catholic University In Venezuela. When Omar isn’t at Sylvan, you’ll find him enjoying a day at the beach enjoying some Venezuelan food.

Sam is a dedicated Math tutor at Sylvan Learning in Aventura/North Miami, FL, specializing in SAT and ACT preparation. With expertise in a wide range of math subjects including statistics, calculus, algebra, geometry, and trigonometry, Sam takes great satisfaction in guiding students toward success in their academic pursuits. His diverse tutoring skills and passion for education make him a valuable asset to students aiming to achieve their full potential.

Abraham Benhaim

Tutor - Reading & Writing

Abraham Benhaim is a dedicated Sylvan Learning tutor specializing in elementary and middle school math and reading. With a tailored approach to each student’s unique needs, Abraham fosters both academic excellence and confidence in his students.

Currently attending Ringling College for graphic design, Abraham brings a creative perspective to his teaching methods. Known for his patient and supportive approach, he strives to inspire a love of learning and create a positive, encouraging environment for all his students.

Outside of tutoring, Abraham enjoys listening to music and working on projects, often integrating these interests into his lessons to make learning more engaging. He is committed to making a lasting impact on his students’ lives, helping them achieve their academic goals and develop a lifelong passion for learning.
