Our tutors and staff in Highlands Ranch & Lone Tree consist of passionate educators who love inspiring children to succeed. Warm, caring and great at relating to kids, our tutors in Highlands Ranch & Lone Tree know how to engage and motivate each child in a personal way—building confidence and smiles, as well as skills and better scores. We selectively choose tutors who know local curriculum and can link Sylvan lessons to what’s being taught in school.

Margie Glynn
Center Director
Margie’s teaching career has spanned all grade levels and many locations from inner city Minneapolis to Port-au-Prince, Haiti. She received her B.A. in Special Education from Wittenberg University in Ohio. Her post-grad studies focused on literacy and curriculum development. As Director of Education, Margie enjoys communicating with students, parents and classroom teachers to aid Sylvan in providing encouraging, quality, individualized learning plans to maximize learning potential of each child. Mom of six and grandma of twelve, when she’s not at Sylvan Margie is engaged in her family, faith, and creative projects.
Pam O'Connor
Director of Education
Pam joins Sylvan with an extensive career in education. She received her B.S and M.Ed in Elementary Education and Statistical Analysis from the University of Utah, and her Endorsement as an Elementary School Principal from the University of Virginia. Pam has worked as a classroom teacher, elementary school principal, instructional coach, and colleague mentor. She brings wonderful knowledge of curriculum development and learning strategies, along with a passion for individualized instruction. When not at Sylvan, you may find Pam enjoying her creative talents in needlework, or attending one of her grandson’s hockey games.
Cindy Smith
Instructor
Cindy Smith joined Sylvan with a BA in Elementary Education (majoring in Psychology) and a MA in Special Education from Western State College in Gunnison. Cindy has years of rich experience working with elementary and special needs students at several grade levels. Currently, she volunteers with the National Sports Center for the Disabled teaching cross country skiing. At Sylvan, she enjoys getting to know her students’ unique learning styles and setting individualized goals and objectives to grow success. When not at Sylvan, Cindy enjoys hiking, biking, skiing, gardening, reading, traveling, and spending time with her family.
