We’ve had a very positive experience with Joy (Center Director) and Mr. James! Our 7 year old goes to complete homework for the week and study for tests… Mr. James goes above and beyond help him stay on task and complete his assignments. He is learning important focus and study skills weekly and we look forward to more and more progress in the future!

both our children ages 5 and 7 have grown faster with Sylvan than they wold have without. we are moving and will seek a sylvan there because our experience was so good, we want to continue for years!

Sylvan does a great job keeping our daughter focused and on task. They help get her through her homework in a timely manner while offering help when needed and encouragement along the way. And the token system is great because it provides incentive and helps make learning more fun. Thank you Sylvan!

She wasn't behind or anything so I didn't know if they could help....so i Called sylvan and they set up an evaluation that was very precise. Started her exactly where she needed to. Grateful to the Sylvan westlake team who had helped me navigate tutoring for my son and daughter. We are getting help in reading and math and the process has been easy and accommodating. Teachers and center director is friendly and responsive and communicate well. I know others who have sent their kids here and they have made great progress. Highly recommend.

My son attended Sylvan for a year and we saw great improvements in his reading ability. The staff was incredible with him and he loved going, he never complained. They took the time to get to learn how he learned and make adjustments as needed. The small groups and the specialized attention was just what he needed.

Our daughter started Sylvan about 2 months ago and we are already seeing her progress! From the initial assessment to starting her first day and now attending for a couple months, the communication has been on point and we appreciate that every kiddos journey is completely tailored to their needs. I have a very happy child thanks to Joy and her team at Sylvan Learning Center! My daughter is in kindergarten and started the school year unwilling to try, shutting down, and discouraged to do her work. Thanks to sylvan making her work around students who are older, giving her encouragement, and showing her she can do it she comes out every class with a big smile saying how good she did! We’ve been with Sylvan Westlake for about 8 weeks, and the results have exceeded our expectations. From the initial assessment, which gave us valuable insight into our child’s strengths and weaknesses, to the personalized plan crafted by the wonderful Director, Joy, we’ve seen incredible growth. Our child's writing has improved both in skill and confidence, which has brought our child balance and happiness. The staff and teachers are fantastic, and we couldn’t be happier with the progress. We had such a positive experience with this Sylvan center, run by Joy. All of the teachers are welcoming and ready to help the students. My child began in the summer as a way to keep up with what he learned during the year. Now has confidence and an eagerness to learn. He has progressed through the program and is able to focus better. I believe by the end of summer, he will be ready for the new school year. Overall, we recommend this program and this center in particular.

I cannot recommend Sylvan enough! My 2nd grader has been there since mid-1st grade, including the summer session. His confidence has skyrocketed and he's absolutely thriving at school.
