Bianca and Jerry are excited to serve the Brentwood, Pacific Palisades, and West LA families! Bianca worked in public education for 20 years as a math teacher and administrator. Bianca is an avid baseball fan and loves to knit and quilt. You’ll see her walking the beach paths when not in the center. BA Mathematics, Hendrix College; MS Mathematics, Clemson University; Ed.D. Jerry Coker
Owner, Sylvan Certified Math Tutor
Jerry will be working in the center as often as he can. He has a master’s in mathematics but was also the designated English grammar and History support for the family. Jerry joins Bianca in her beach walks and enjoys Chai Tea Lattes. BA Mathematics, Hendrix College; MS Mathematics, Clemson University

Tiffany Kohanoff

Tiffany simply loves children and enjoys helping them learn and grow at every stage of their education. She has a dog named Milo and her favorite color is green.

Lauren Monson

Lauren has taught secondary school for over a decade – including English Language Arts, French, and Drama. She has a daughter in college and a son in high school. She is obsessed with her dogs Lancelot and Baby Yoda.

Leeann enjoys working with and teaching children, especially in the arts. She is an artist and writer. She loves coffee and travelling and visits her family often.

Miranda Nimmer

Miranda loves being in the classroom and engaging with students, learning about what they are passionate about and how they best learn. Miranda has been a tutor in math, reading/writing, and general study skills for over 8 years and in her free time she loves to play piano and beach volleyball.

Riley Haslett
Sylvan Certified Teacher
Ms. Riley has been teaching students of all ages and levels for over 10 years. She specializes in humanities, and her favorite thing about teaching is how much she learns in return from her students. She has taught on 3 different continents, and spent 5 years in South Korea teaching history, science, and debate. She speaks English, French, and Korean. Currently, she is pursuing a certification in Music Business from UCLA with a focus in A&R.

Seta Alexander

Miss Seta has been working with students of various ages, backgrounds, and abilities for over 20 years in private schools. She currently works as a kindergarten teacher with special needs students, as well as typical students in an inclusion school. Her favorite part about working with students is sharing that exciting moment with them when they understand a difficult concept or accomplish a difficult task. In her leisure time, she likes going for walks/hikes/playing beach volleyball with friends, spending time with family, and seeing movies.

Timothy Varghese

Timothy studied Cognitive Science at UCLA and specializes in math tutoring. He enjoys walking (ideally more than 10,000 steps a day) and watching sports, documentaries, and the news.
