Robert Henley

Owner

Robert Henley is the Owner of Sylvan Learning of Wetumpka. Robert’s passion is for helping others. He has a background in finance and real estate.  He strongly believes that education is an essential tool and  is the value it gives to children and families. He enjoys spending time with his family, golfing, and traveling. 

Laquayna Henley

Center Director/Owner

As Center Director and Owner, Laquayna is responsible for day to day operation at Sylvan Learning Of Wetumpka. Her drive is to build healthy relationships for children, families, and to achieve personal goals. She has a passion for education and well being of others. She is a graduate from Troy University with a Bachelors in Psychology and Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. She is also Endorsed by First 5 Alabama for Infant and Families. When she is not at Sylvan she enjoys spending time with family, traveling, and reading. 

Jenny Bailey

Teacher

Jenny Bailey is our lead teacher at Sylvan Learning Of Wetumpka.  With a gift of working with kids, she worked with children since her teens. She is a graduate from Auburn University Montgomery in 2005 with a degree in Early Childhood Special Education. She have taught Special Education in both Montgomery and Elmore county. She always loved helping students achieve goals that they may struggle with. She is married and have two children. Their daughter is at Wetumpka High School, and  son is at Auburn University.  Jenny’s husband  is a librarian at Auburn University Montgomery. In her spare time, she enjoys  reading, gardening and cooking

Mashunda Cain

Teacher

 Mashunda Cain is one of our teachers here at Sylvan Learning Center. She was born and raised in Wetumpka. She has her Bachelors in Psychology and Masters in Public Administration. While living in Ohio she worked with All Children Thrive and Every Child Succeed Network. She  believes that rapport building is the beginning of success in every aspect and journey taken in life. She knows in order for her to have a positive effect, she must promote and support the changes that’s needed for people to be self sufficient and thrive. Her passion for caring for others and teaching grew tremendously and happy to be apart of Sylvan Team.

Sidney Coker-Wood is an educator and life-long learner. She holds two degrees in English, a Bachelor’s from Troy University and  Master’s from Auburn University. She has taught and tutored students from Pre-K to university level in reading, writing, and composition. She was born and raised in Elmore county, where she now lives with her husband and their two cats. When she is not teaching, she is writing or reading.
