Ishrat Fathima is the Center Director and Franchise Owner. With over 20 years of experience in administration, school management, and English Language teaching, she aims to foster creativity and skills in students so as to help them achieve their educational goals. In addition, Ishrat enjoys collaborating with teachers and parents to develop efficient and effective learning strategies.
Sujatha Sridaran

Director
Sujatha holds a Master’s degree in Economics and a Bachelor’s degree in Education. She has fifteen years of experience in teaching students of all age groups in several countries. She feels that the role of a teacher is to support and guide the student in the learning process. Rather than viewing errors as a setback, she assists students to understand and guide them to correct those errors through positive reinforcement. She believes in Lev Vygotsky’s theory that parents and teachers by providing opportunities can foster learning that lies within a child’s zone of proximal development. When she is not teaching at Sylvan, you can find her engrossed with her books as she is a voracious reader.
Natasia Sohail

Natasia Sohail has over 17 yrs experience in education and leadership in Elementary school &Early Years. She holds a Master’s degree in Business Admin and Bachelor’s degree inEducation. She’s currently pursuing a diploma in ECE.She is passionate about enriched learning experiences for children, enabling them to think beyond the classroom. She thinks it is important to not only educate but develop a child’s emotional, personal, and social skills through purposeful & exciting learning experiences.She believes that the quality of education that children receive is indispensable in bringing out their potential and that all children should have access to quality learning.
Asma Yasmin
Center Assistant
Asma Yasmin holds a Master’s degree in English Literature and has earned a TEFL certification from the University of Toronto. With over 15 years of experience teaching in international schools, she is well-versed in delivering diverse curricula. A UFLI-trained educator, Asma possesses deep expertise in literacy instruction and extensive knowledge of the Ontario curriculum. Her passion for fostering student growth and academic excellence drives her to create dynamic, student-centred classrooms that support both academic achievement and personal development.
Nicole Antidormi
Instructor
Nicole is an Ontario Certified Teacher. She graduated with a Bachelor of Education degree from Western University in 2021 having previously obtained a Bachelor of Music degree from Wilfrid Laurier University in 2019. She is passionate about teaching and believes in the importance of meeting each student’s unique learning needs in order to support academic achievement. When she is not teaching, Nicole enjoys reading, experimenting with new recipes in the kitchen and listening to classical music.
Melanie Ferreira
Instructor
Melanie is an OCT certified teacher working at the Dufferin Peel Catholic District School Board. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science from the University of Toronto, double majoring in chemistry and biology, and a Bachelor of Education from OISE in 2015. She believes in the importance of not only teaching students curriculum content, but more importantly, teaching them skills and lessons they can take with them outside of the classroom to encourage them to be life-long learners. When she is not teaching, Melanie loves to read, listen to music and spend quality time with her family, friends, and cats Charlee and Lexy.
Sommer Chou
Instructor
Sommer is currently a PhD Candidate at McMaster University studying Biochemistry. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree and has over 7 years of experience tutoring maths and sciences up to Grade 12. She strongly believes that communication is the biggest factor to student success and enjoys making learning fun for others. In her spare time, Sommer is either playing sports, out hiking, or spending time with her two dogs.
Mathew Henriques
Instructor
Matthew graduated with an Honors Bachelor of science degree from McMaster university in 2022. Majoring in Astrophysics and minoring in Computer science, he has a passion for physics and math and hopes to bring out that passion in each of his students. He believes that any student has the potential for greatness, they just need the right teacher to bring it out of them. His primary focus is to help students gain a useful understanding of the material they are learning, so the student sees learning as purposeful and not a chore. When he is not teaching, he is either listening to music, at the gym, or playing games with his friends and family.
Dalia Hussien
Instructor
Dalia is passionate about helping students grow through effort and practice. She believes that education isn’t just about getting the right answers, but about the process and the dedication that students bring to their work. For her, it’s all about fostering motivation and encouraging students to do their best. As long as the effort is there, that’s what truly matters. She loves using positive reinforcement to keep students on track, and when they make mistakes, she takes the opportunity to appreciate their thought process and guide them toward the right solution. Her approach creates a supportive learning environment where students can feel confident and motivated. Having earned a Bachelors in Educational Studies, Dalia brings a thoughtful and creative touch to her teaching. In her free time, she enjoys journaling, writing, and sketching, which allow her to continuously explore new ideas and stay inspired.
Brooke-Lynn Caschera

Brooke-Lynn is an OCT-certified teacher who recently graduated with her Bachelor of Education from Wilfrid Laurier University. She also graduated with a Bachelor of Health Science from Western University, with an Honours Specialization in Rehabilitation Sciences, in 2022. Brooke-Lynn believes in the importance of meeting students where they are in their learning journey and building connections with them so they feel supported in their academics. When she is not teaching, Brooke-Lynn likes to read, go camping, and spend time with her friends, family, and her dog Lainey.
Rabia Fatima
Instructor
Rabia is a Biochemistry PhD Candidate at McMaster University. With over 8 years experience in teaching, she believes in fostering an enjoyable learning environment and tailoring lessons to each student’s unique learning style. Her goal is to help students build both confidence and independence. In her free time, she loves getting creative with arts and crafts, creating engaging video content, and unwinding with board games.
Ruthba Tahiya
Instructor
Ruthba is working towards her Honors Bachelor’s Degree in Science at University of Toronto, specializing in Applied Statistics with Mathematical Sciences and Computer Science. She has worked in many tech-industry oriented internships and wants to use her theoretical and practical skills to ensure that the students are benefitting in every way. At Sylvan, Ruthba teaches Math, English and French at all levels and aims to deliver the best service to all students of various levels and backgrounds. In her free time, Ruthba spends time reading, learning new languages and criticizing international films with her family.
Juils Milton
Instructor
Juils graduated in 2022 from the University of Toronto with an Honors Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience. She has a passion for the youth as she aspires to become a pediatrician in the future. She enjoys working with students to help them exceed their academic potential and foster confidence in their abilities. When Juils is not teaching she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, cooking and staying physically active.
