Niksha Khurana

Tutor

Niksha is a tutor who specializes in teaching Mathematics, English, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and various writing styles. She has over ten years of experience in tutoring. Niksha believes in hands-on learning and has worked with students ranging from first grade to university level. She believes that building positive relationships with children is important for them to feel comfortable asking questions and understanding the subject matter. Outside of tutoring, Niksha enjoys reading and traveling.

Sarabjit Vilkhu

Tutor

Sarabjit is from Mumbai, India. She is a Master of Education graduate and holds a degree in B.Tech Biotechnology and an Advanced Diploma in Clinical Research. Currently, she is working as a Learning Facilitator at The Academy of Learning Career College. She has also worked as a tutor at the TRU Writing Centre and as a Clinical Research Coordinator in the past. She has over 7 years of teaching experience with age groups ranging from early childhood to adult learners. She teaches all the subjects with English, Academic writing, Reading, and Research being her strong suit. She is lively and outgoing and loves making learning a fun experience for her students. She enjoys painting and cooking in her free time.

Cassidy Wight

Tutor

Cassidy teaches English. When she arrives at the center, all of the students become excited. As a member of the TRU Wolfpack Cheer team, she constantly encourages students to study. She is currently in her second year at TRU, majoring in psychology and minoring in English. When she is not in class, studying, cheering, or dancing, she enjoys reading and going out for coffee with her friends.

Mengyuan Wang

Tutor

Mangyuan is a student from China who is currently pursuing a B.Sc. in Mathematics as her major. She has a great deal of patience when teaching and can help even the most disruptive students learn arithmetic subjects. In the past, she has volunteered at both the TRU Language Learning Centre and Big Little Science Centre. Mangyuan is fluent in both English and Mandarin Chinese.

Camilla Li

Tutor

Camilla is originally from China and teaches English at Sylvan. She has a cheerful personality and believes in making learning enjoyable for her students. Outside of teaching, she enjoys gardening.

Jasmine is a mathematics instructor at Sylvan with multiple years of tutoring experience. She has worked with students of different age groups and finds a closer connection with them by being enthusiastic about both their academic and character growth. Jasmine has a background in mathematics and science. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling and reading books.

Priyanka Fernandes

Director of Education

Priyanka leads daily operations at Sylvan. Her teaching experience is extensive, as she has taught in India, Dubai, and currently in Canada. She consistently puts in effort to improve herself. She always encourages her students to work hard, while also showing empathy towards them. She spends most of her time at Sylvan and is always ready to assist whenever required. If she is not at the center, she is probably talking to her family at home.
