Our tutors and staff in Delta & Tsawwassen consist of passionate educators who love inspiring children to succeed. Warm, caring and great at relating to kids, our tutors in Delta & Tsawwassen know how to engage and motivate each child in a personal way—building confidence and smiles, as well as skills and better scores. We selectively choose tutors who know local curriculum and can link Sylvan lessons to what’s being taught in school.

MARISSA KING
CENTRE DIRECTOR
As Program Manager, Marissa manages student programs, meets regularly with parents, and helps maintain the center among other responsibilities for Sylvan of Delta. As someone who has a passion for learning and teaching children, Marissa chose a career in the tutoring business and is looking forward to giving back to her local community. When Marissa isn’t at Sylvan you can find her walking her dog, out enjoying the sun with her friends or reading.
Simran G.
Senior Math Teacher
Simran is a quick learner with a strong background in Sciences and Mathematics She majored in Physics and loves teaching Math in an engaging and exciting manner. Simran believes that a strong connection with a student is very important.
Simran’s most recent experience as a SME(QC) Academic Operations at Vedantu Innovations, provided her with more in-depth and specific knowledge to educate her students.
Joining Sylvan, Simran was able to pursue her passion of teaching students to their highest levels and it inspires her more that her students achieve their goals.
When not in Sylvan you can find Simran, hiking or travelling with family and friends exploring nature.
Emma
Teacher
Emma is a long-time educator, who has been working with young people for over 10 years. With a passion for working with children, Emma especially enjoys teaching early literacy, as well as helping high school students with their writing and literary studies. She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Kwantlen in 2020, with a double minor in English Literature and History. When Emma isn’t at Sylvan, you’ll find her either knitting, antiquing at thrift shops, or drinking a strong cup of tea.
