We selectively choose tutors who know local curriculum and can link Sylvan lessons to what’s being taught in school.

Rachelle
Tutor
Rachelle is a driven and enthusiastic teacher here at Sylvan. She has been working in education for almost a decade and has a talent for adapting to the unique needs of each individual student. Rachelle is skilled at being able to work with multiple age groups as she is able to connect with anyone she meets. With her ability to think quickly, Rachelle is sure to help all of her students to the best of her knowledge. Along with education, she is passionate about softball and hiking.
Randal
Tutor
Randal teaches mathematics and reading at Sylvan Chilliwack. He is an instructor with multiple years of tutoring experience as he has worked with various different age groups. Randal has the ability to connect with his students at a deeper level as he is passionate about their learning as well as character development. With a background in French, he is able to teach in both the official languages of Canada! In his free time you can find Randal going to the movies or reading a good book.
Harman
Tutor
Harman was born in India and has recently come to Canada. She has a lot of experience in education as she worked as a teacher and tutor in Punjab. Harman is skilled at teaching math as she has a background in accounting. She loves to help tutor those who need math help in higher grade levels. Of course, she doesn’t mind helping with other subjects! Outside of teaching she is also interested in cooking and reading.
Katie
Tutor
Katie is a reading and writing teacher at Sylvan in Chilliwack. She is currently as Master’s student at UBC studying Speech Language Pathology. In the future, she hopes to continue working with children as she has a talent for engaging with students with her energetic personality and positive nature. In her free time you can find Katie spending time with her cat and playing the piano.
Aman
Director of Education
Aman oversees the day to day running of Sylvan, managing the team and coordinating the schedule and educational programs. She is an avid cinephile as she has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Film Studies from UBC. Recently, Aman has shifted her interests to education where she has discovered her passion for teaching by working as a tutor at Sylvan. When she is not in the office, you will find her in the kitchen cooking up her latest masterpiece, working out at the gym or taking her dog for a walk. When you see her, please say hi!
