We are looking for great teachers who love kids and teenagers. At Sylvan students learn about three times faster than they do in school because our education is highly customized, and it is very easy for teachers to do what they love most…TEACH. Our environment is safe, and you get to see students make meaningful progress quickly! This job is very rewarding, and we ask our teachers to do a lot less than in school. For example, school class sizes are 25 to 30 and ours are three to four students per teacher. At school you must make lesson plans and at Sylvan there is already a student specific plan. There is no need to grade papers as assessment and progress results are part of the lesson at Sylvan. We love parents, but our directors work with the parents so you can focus on the students. In addition, most schools require you to teach to a specific test. We don’t do that here, but we do guarantee results and we get them! Our teachers GET TO DO THE BEST PART about teaching and that is meet the kids where they are academically with a highly customized program in small groups. It is pretty amazing, and we would love to talk to qualified teachers.
